Poem

Be Voices

Let your voice be the voices
of those that can't be heard.
If you see injustices,
then put your thoughts to word.
Certain things cannot speak out,
their feelings can't be read.
You can be the voice of these
with simple thoughts just said.

If you're against abortion,
then share the thoughts you feel.
Those little babies cannot speak,
but still their lives are real.
The answer is not shouting,
discussion is the key.
But if there are never words
an answer will not be.

If children that are suffering
are always on your mind.
Be the voice that says their words,
and I think you will find.
That actions might just follow,
a movement might begin.
All because of feelings you
were harboring within.

If you think our wildlife has
been slaughtered to the brink.
Be the voice they do not have,
tell people what you think.
You will find you're not alone,
that many think the same.
Know you cannot score a point
if you don't play the game.

Be voices for the mountain tops,
Be voices for the sea.
Be voices for the rivers,
Let feelings be set free.
People might just follow if
we give them each a choice.
The silence must be spoken,
inside you lies the voice.
