It was trillions of years ago
When we lived in a fantasy ~
A maiden sitting at a spinning wheel
Making lace that made history !

As a babe she was stolen by a witch
Doomed to make lace by the hour ~
Locked in a tower way up in the sky
A spell on this lace gave it power !

As she worked by day and night
It hung from tower to the ground
People came from all over the land ~
And away with them took a pound!

A pound of lace is quite a bit
Especially lace with a spell ~
So I ask of you please take the challenge
Of this haunted lace ~ Please do tell!

It could be the veil that covers the head
Of a very special bride ~
Or a drape for a window
Maybe a gown for a body to hide!
